Kintla, our forever dog and the namesake of Kintla Couture. She passed over the rainbow bridge in 2018 and this brand is her legacy!

From a watercolor painting, to a digital illustration, and finally onto webbing. Our Sagebrush design was our first print to make its way onto Kintla Couture collars and belts.

The Start

Thank you for visiting Kintla Couture! Our small handmade company started in 2013 when I wanted to find a fashionable collar for our dog Kintla (named after Kintla Lake in Glacier National Park)! At the time, I couldn’t find anything that fit her personality, so I decided to make one myself using my mother’s circa ~1970s Husqvarna Viking sewing machine. After many iterations of different patterns, styles and weights, Kintla Couture, has a new look and is better than ever!

While we were proud of our canine line, we realized that pet-less folks also wanted in on Kintla Couture. In 2019 we began research and design on custom belt buckles. With help from a local Bozeman based manufacturing company, we created a great, lightweight, aluminum belt buckle and started selling belts for humans!

Our webbing collars, leashes and belts feature artwork inspired by the Greater Yellowstone Area hand drawn by Rachel Cudmore (WILDARTNESS). When possible, Kintla Couture sources material from local vendors including our packaging which is printed and cut in Livingston, Montana! All products are designed and assembled by Rachel in Mammoth Hot Springs.

The Art

I am Rachel Cudmore: artist, creator, outdoor enthusiast and dog mom! After several years of making dog collars out of black webbing and fun quilting fabric, I finally found a way to get my illustrations directly onto the webbing! My art, that was once meant to be framed and hung the wall, can also be enjoyed at home, on the trails, rivers, ski hill or even at the office! The majority of my artwork is inspired by the natural world surrounding me and my family in the Greater Yellowstone Area, where I live and work full time. While I love my day job, KINTLA COUTURE + WILDARTNESS allows me to live a more balanced, creative and full life.

I work in many mediums from digital art and graphic design, watercolor, acrylic and mix media encaustic paintings with wax and oil paints.

KINTLA COUTURE + WILDARTNESS is meant to be enjoyed.
